have been steadily building a name for them throughout Europe as Belgiumʼs finest bass music export. Coming from the early Belgian jungle scene, Wallace and Kalib created Grimelock in 2004. MC's Maëlan and Dynamic joined the crew shortly after to fill the shows with their energy.
On stage they bring a unique, explosive and fast-paced combination of dubstep, garage, electro and hip hop in which are blended own productions, exclusive dubplates and timeless classics. Add to this the raw live energy of the MCʼs and donʼt be surprised if you find yourself bouncing, sweating and screaming for more.
In 2008 they set up Stainage Records, a label aiming to promote Belgian productions worldwide. They were also responsible for the infamous Stainage parties that brought all the biggest dubstep names in Brussels ages before the hype.

MAELAN
is a singer/producer born in Brussels and raised in a multicultural environment inspired and influenced by African music,
reggae and hip hop.
At 8 he composed his first melodies on a little casio keyboard. In high school his style of singing attracted attention meanwhile he recorded his first demos.
Later on he moves to UK with the firm intention to improve his musical knowledge studying music production.When he
returns to Belgium he begins to perform as an MC and backing vocal alongside Grimelock and Dynamic, touring the biggest festivals and venues all around Europe.
Currently he is adding the finishing touches to his debut LP "Live Life", a subtle crossover between his childhoodʼs musical influences and the sound of dubstep and grime. The album (forthcoming in 2010) features collaborations with artists like Omar Perry, Grimelock, Dynamic or Stanna G.

Stainage was the name used by Kalib and Marsellus Wallace (Grimelock) for their parties, circa 2005.
They invited some of the most genre defining producers to play in Brussels at a point when dubstep just started bubbling and the hunger for freshness was measured by the evergrowing number of enthusiasts.
Three years later, time has come to step up to a next level. Stainage Records was set up in 2008 with the purpose to promote quality Belgian bass oriented music.

de producteurs confirmés. Durant deux mois, développe tes talents

Leerlingen tussen 14 en 20 jaar.
Voor beginners, het is een INITIATIE stage.
Lessen zullen zowel in het Nederlands als het Frans gegeven worden.

> Met welk doel?
Ableton Live is een informatica programma die 2 interfaces voorstelt en daardoor twee typische
gebruikswijzen heeft.
De workshop is toegewijd aan de muziekcompositie interface, en de muzikale creatie.
Het dj interface zal niet worden gebruikt.
Het doel van de stage is het stimuleren van de muzikale creatie, zonder stijlgrenzen en zonder
academische beperkingen.
Live Ableton zorgt voor een intuïtieve benadering van de compositie.
De rol van de docenten omvat het aanrijken van de technische sleutels noodzakelijk voor de
creatieve expressie van de ingeschrevenen.

50 euro voor de twee workshop fases.
> Showcase
Op 27 februari organiseren we een afsluitingsfeest/showcase in de Recyclart, met het doel het
resultaat van het werk uit de workshops te tonen. De showcase zal plaatsvinden in het begin van
de avond.
Uitgenodigd zijn de leerlingen, hun vrienden, familie, maar ook Ableton Benelux, de pers, en de
Brusselse culturele scene.
Vervolgens zullen gevestgide artiesten ook deeluitmaken van een party die zal duren tot in de
vroege uurtjes.

> Dans quel but ?
Ableton Live est un outil informatique complet qui propose 2 interfaces et donc deux utilisations
typiques.
Ce stage est dédié à l’interface de composition de morceau, de création musicale.
L’interface dj ne sera pas abordée.
Le but du stage est donc de stimuler la création musicale, sans limites de style et sans contraintes
académiques.
Live Ableton permet une approche intuitive de la composition.
Le rôle des formateurs sera de donner les clés techniques à l’expression créatrices des inscrits.
> Showcase
Le 27 février nous organisons une soirée / showcase, au Recyclart, dans le but de présenter au
public le résultat du travail en stage. Le showcase se déroulera en début de soirée.
Seront conviés les stagiaires, leurs amis, familles, mais aussi l’importateur Ableton Benelux, la
presse, des acteurs du monde associatifs Bruxellois,…
Ensuite, des artistes confirmés seront aussi de la partie pour une soirée dansante jusqu’au bout de
la nuit !

For this edition of Dungeon we've invited the Godfather of dubstep in Belgium, with over 15 years of experience this guy's the absolute Don. He's one of the best known dubstep DJs outside of the UK and is playing sets all around the globe, including recent performances at the legendary FWD>> nights in London.
Besides all this he hosts the award winning FOB show on Sub FM and he's been dropping heavy tunes on labels such as Stainage, Bass Tourist and Aeclectrick records.
